Michele Davidson
Tucson, AZ
Michele Davidson, aka Chef Shell of The Invisible Chef Personal Chef Service, has been cooking forever it seems. When she was a little girl, she and her friends would get together and play around with ingredients to concoct new recipes on a regular basis, sometimes edible and sometimes not even close!
But Michele didn't get serious about cooking until the need arose. Her Mom was the Head Chef of the family until she became disabled due to a car accident and it was at that time that Michele needed to learn her Mom's recipes to help out in their home. So she rolled up her sleeves and jumped right in and started learning some very delicious Italian recipes that have been in her family for generations.
Yes, Michele's Mom taught her all of her recipes, but even more importantly, she taught her the love of cooking.
Each time there was either an illness, birth, birthday or big event amongst her friends or family, Michele would start her planning to either host a party or deliver a home cooked meal to the friend or family member in need. Michele took great pleasure from caring for people through food.
Michele's full time profession was not a Chef, for 10 years it was a Human Resources Manager for a small company in Massachusetts. In that position she enjoyed the party part of the job; planning food contests, luncheons and dinner parties for the employees. The employees really enjoyed that part of Michele's job too and thought that it made for a nice family atmosphere at work.
When Michele moved to Tucson, Arizona in 2002 she thought long and hard about what she wanted to do for work and just couldn't decide until she read an advertisement in The Southern Living Magazine for becoming a Personal Chef and joining The Personal Chefs Network. She jumped right on that and started her business, The Invisible Chef, and has never regretted a single moment of it.
For Michele, becoming a Personal Chef was the perfect next step in her career. She is still enjoying taking care of people through food, only now those "people" are her clients!
