Ann Liebmann

Wausau, WI

Ann Liebmann has been a fan of many different types of cuisine since she was little. Blessed with an adventurous family, she was introduced to the pleasures of cultural diversity through food and travel.

After growing up in Upstate New York, Ann moved with her family to the West Coast of Florida where she helped run the Hallmark gift shop that her family bought. Florida allowed her to explore the wonderful world of fresh seafood and also to experience the influences of Cuban and Puerto Rican foods. Here, she met and fell in love with her husband of 23 years.
Shortly after they were married, they moved to the city of Philadelphia. There, Ann was thrilled to find restaurants offering the cuisines of Greece, Thailand, New Orleans, Mexico, Japan, Ethiopia, Lebanon, Spain, India and a host of others. Many wonderful evenings were spent sampling the delights of various countries. Ann spent some time in the kitchens of the city to learn the various methods and recipes of a few of these foods. Along the line she also learned how to make a killer cheesesteak!

A promotion and job transfer next brought Ann and her husband Karl to the Bayou State of Louisiana. Here she opened a small restaurant to bring some of the wonderful foods she had learned about to her new town. The southerners got a chance to experience some new taste treats and Ann started learning about Cajun and Creole cooking. She was determined that she wouldn’t ever have to miss a regional favorite just because she didn’t live in that part of the country anymore! After spending 10 years in the sunny south, Chef Ann now lives and works in Wausau, Wisconsin.

Time Savor, a Personal Chef Service, LLC has been enthusiastically embraced by the community and Ann is very happy to be able to share her love of fine food with her new neighbors. In addition to traditional clients and a healthy dinner party trade, Ann teaches cooking classes at the local Chef Center and at one of the High Schools for the Adult Education program. She has also started a program at the local Montessori School that allows parents to pick up one of her delicious and healthy dinners when they come to pick up their child.

Her goal in the next 2 years is to head up her own cooking school and to continue to find new ways to bring the joys of great food to the community.
