"THE Place to be, to be the BEST PC!™"

*********

A transplant from Long Island New York, Personal Chef Lisa Spampinato moved to the Napoleon MI area in 1999 with her husband, Michael and two young sons. She has been Personal cheffing since 2003 when she had an "Aha moment" and excitedly joined Personal chefs Network.

For as far back as she can remember, Personal Chef Lisa Spampinato basically grew up cooking at her Mom's side in their kitchen, thus the name of her Personal Chef Company - In the Kitchen. "I was the official taste-tester and company keeper. When my sister was off riding horses, I baked and cooked and watched all the original food stars like Julia Child, Jacques Pepin, The Frugal Gourmet, and Secrets of the CIA" says Chef Lisa. As she was growing up, anything that occurred in Chef Lisa's house usually revolved around food and happened in the kitchen because it was the heart of their home. Lisa tells us: "You didn't walk through the front door without being drawn into the kitchen by the smell of something good simmering. Our house was the official "Kool-Aid House" - everyone wanted to come over because there was always good food (and plenty of it). Even the repairmen referred to my mom as "The Soup Lady"!

Growing up, holidays were big at Chef Lisa's home, and they celebrated them all. With parents that grew up in the Bronx and Brooklyn - every holiday was celebrated - the Christmas Tree and the Chanukah Bush were one and the same sometimes. Needless to say, those experiences helped Chef Lisa to become quite diverse in her cooking abilities - Not only can she make an "awesome Italian Gravy", but she can make Matzoh Balls with the best of them and California Rolls have been her newest venture.

Lisa tells us that it is so very important to her and her husband to instill this same love of food to their children and share it with our friends & family. "So much of our daily lives revolve around preparing food, sharing meals and enjoying each other's company - it is how we start our day, solve our problems, share our feelings, and end our day." says Lisa. In a reaction to all of the great meals that Lisa's husband Michael pre-made when she was pregnant, and all the gatherings and parties and meals that they together would make for friends, Chef Lisa and her husband realized - hey - there's an idea here - hmmmmm. What a thrill it was for her when she learned in 2003 that there actually is a food related industry that helps people and gives them back that all too precious time to share a good meal with their family and still have time for other things, what a gift to be able to do this for a living while providing healthy alternatives and passing on a love for food - besides being a wife and mom, THIS was Chef Lisa's calling. So now, Chef Lisa gets to do what she loves ALL the time while sharing it with others. When she's not cooking for her family or clients, Chef Lisa enjoys reading, attempted golf, and other creative arts, and aspires to begin writing a cookbook sometime in the near future.
