Nancy grew up Banks, Oregon a small town outside of Portland. Her house was one of sit down dinners and great homemade food; both her parents were active cooks who passed down their love of good food to her and her siblings. Even as a child Nancy was a bit of an entrepreneur, from her suburban yard she sold and delivered fresh corn in the summer, pumpkins in the fall.

Nancy spent the first 15 years of her career in retail management. In 2002 Nancy decided that the hours were just too long it was time to stay home with her daughters Madeline and Audrey. She enjoyed being able to take the time too cook as much as she wanted to, maybe this was something she could make a living at. She knew first hand how hard it was to get a healthy, warm meal on the table with both parents are working full time.. In May of 2004 she joined Personal Chef's Network and Nancy's Cuisine was born.

For the last 4 years Nancy has been cooking for busy families in the Portland area, each client presents new challenges and keeps her on her toes. She especially enjoys the challenges of cooking for clients with special diets, "I love taking a recipe and adapting it so my clients with dietary restrictions can enjoy the same meals everyone else does. What a pleasure it has been to share my love of food with my clients, and take them along on all my culinary adventures. I can't imagine doing anything else!"
